Review by hotel critic
My stay at Ibis Newcastle was delightful from start to finish. The very friendly and helpful staff made for a warm welcome, and I appreciated the easy and early check-in-they had my room ready for me at 10:30 am! The room itself was comfortable, with a nice bed and essential amenities like a mini fridge, kettle, iron, and hairdryer. I particularly enjoyed the good breakfast to kick off my day, which included delicious coffee. The late 11 am check-out time was a great convenience, allowing me to explore Newcastle without rushing. The reception even kindly stored my luggage for the rest of the day while I roamed around the city. The location of the hotel is perfect, situated in Newcastle's Honeysuckle Precinct, offering access to entertainment, dining options, and stunning views of the working harbour. I especially loved the proximity to the Civic Theatre and Queen's Wharf, just a short walk away. A great place to base yourself while exploring the city!
